New Look Blog Layout!

I have been out of action for the last few months. So much has happened. I had to resign as a demo for SU as my work increased and now things have calmed down I’ve decided to go with a new look blog layout with the new crafty creations I’ve been working on.

I’ve found a new passion in the way of photo folios and projects, and here is what I’ve been working on.

I am an admirer or Kathy King the crafting Queen from Paper Phenomenon and I adore her Keepsake Trunk.  A friend of mine is having a baby and I made her one. I only gave it to her the other day so now that she has seen it I can post some pics.

I hope you enjoy it.

New Project Revealed – Ink Pad Storage

Warning : Post Picture Heavy

I have been wanting to store my SU stamp pads and ink refills since I signed up as a SU demo and purchased my first ink pads.

2 and half years later and I decided to make my own. I know there’s ones out there to buy but I wanted to see if I could create one myself. It’s not perfect, it’s not perfectly square, it has imperfections but I’m made it with my own two hands, and I love it. I love how I now can keep all my ink pads and refills together, with a few little extra places for my staz on, versamark, and even a little compartment for my Stampin’ Mist.

It turned out exactly how I pictured it in my head. All materials are SU except for the chipboard and the black paint. I would have to say my favourite is the balloon DSP on the front, it’s the Birthday Bouquet DSP from the Occasions catalogue 2016.

Unfortunately there are no instructions or a tutorial, I made my Ink Pad Storage Unit as I went along and just cut and measured everything as I wanted them. The whole unit is approx. 24″ wide, 12″ high and  5″deep.

I hope you enjoy looking through my pictures of my handmade SU Ink Pad and Refills Storage Unit as much as I enjoyed making it.

As you can see in the pictures I’ve have place my unit on to a cupboard where I store my embossing folders aswell, I made individual magazine holders for those, all in alphabetical order. I also place another project next to my Unit and just filled it with extra refills at the moment until I decide to do with it.

Happy Crafting

Vicki 🙂
