Mother’s Day is coming soon here in Australia, so I thought I’d make my Mum a card. Thought I’d try a little dimension so I add a few layers of the flower from the SU Birthday Blooms stamp set. I added a little Clear Wink of Stella to give it a little shine. Need more practice with the cutting, but I’m pretty sure my Mum will like it.
A close up of the flower.
Pop over to my online store to grab some items, and be quick, the New SU Annual Catalogue is out soon, some items have been put on the retiring list, so grab them while you can. You can find my Store here
Warning : Post Picture Heavy
I have been wanting to store my SU stamp pads and ink refills since I signed up as a SU demo and purchased my first ink pads.
2 and half years later and I decided to make my own. I know there’s ones out there to buy but I wanted to see if I could create one myself. It’s not perfect, it’s not perfectly square, it has imperfections but I’m made it with my own two hands, and I love it. I love how I now can keep all my ink pads and refills together, with a few little extra places for my staz on, versamark, and even a little compartment for my Stampin’ Mist.
It turned out exactly how I pictured it in my head. All materials are SU except for the chipboard and the black paint. I would have to say my favourite is the balloon DSP on the front, it’s the Birthday Bouquet DSP from the Occasions catalogue 2016.
Unfortunately there are no instructions or a tutorial, I made my Ink Pad Storage Unit as I went along and just cut and measured everything as I wanted them. The whole unit is approx. 24″ wide, 12″ high and 5″deep.
I hope you enjoy looking through my pictures of my handmade SU Ink Pad and Refills Storage Unit as much as I enjoyed making it.
As you can see in the pictures I’ve have place my unit on to a cupboard where I store my embossing folders aswell, I made individual magazine holders for those, all in alphabetical order. I also place another project next to my Unit and just filled it with extra refills at the moment until I decide to do with it.
Here is a little sneak peek at what I’ve been making over the last couple of days. Only the finishing touches to put on it and then I will reveal all.
Finished cutting some of the supplies for my next project, I found a lot of what I was looking for on YouTube and Pinterest but not quite what I wanted, so have decided to try and design my own and put it together. It will be done in stages. So this is stage 1.
Stage 1 – materials cut and prepped, ready to go – chipboard and SU Basic Black Cardstock.
OMG would I be in my happy place a lot if SU sold chipboard 🙂 🙂
I had recently lost my crafting mojo, and it has been hard for me to find inspiration, so I thought I would try one of the Kathy Orta King tutorials, and purchased her Voyager Organizer. Here is my version, I used It’s My Party DSP from Stampin’ Up!.
Sorry about the pic, taken a night and light is not very good.
I found doing this has brought back a little of my mojo, so now to get some Mother’s Day projects done, fingers x
My 76 Easter favours for my Mum and the other residents of the Aged Care Facility. A little something for them to open Easter morning.
A couple of little Easter Eggs still need to be added but I will do that closer to Easter. We are expecting a couple very hot days here in Wallaroo, South Australia over the weekend and don’t want them melting.
I used the Brights Collection Stack and some extras from the In Colours Collection Stack. and thank you to Sam from Pootles for the inspiration for the little favours, I used her tutorial 6 x 6 Cherry on Top Button Box.
